Fall Field Trips
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the cost?
Admission is $12/individual over 2 years of age. Teachers and bus drivers from schools are free when coming with their groups.
What is the best payment method?
We require your group to pay in a lump sum unless arranged otherwise in advance.
For safety reasons, individual chaperones will not be admitted without school permission for each individual.
We prefer credit card or school check (not personal checks). Cash is accepted, but may slow your entry into the farm.
Is the farm open to the public during field trips?
During the Fall Festival the farm is not open to the public, but we usually schedule more than one private group at a time for field trips so your group is not likely to be there alone though we are careful to schedule times for specific activities for each group.
What are the hours?
Tuesday - Friday 9:30am-1:30pm by reservation only and only during the Fall Festival days listed on our webpage.
What is included with admission?
Admission into the play area, which includes all games and playsets, animals, crop maze, trains, and a hayride.
What is NOT included with admission?
No activities listed on the main festival page that require an extra fee are included in the admission price and are not offered on field trip days. Concessions and farm store shopping are offered, but are not included in the price.
Flower fields are closed during field trips except on guided hay wagon and train rides
Can we purchase food during our field trip?
Yes, we have a concession stand, but we recommend that large groups bring sack lunches for their students as it is very difficult for us to feed large numbers of people in a very short time. We welcome lunch orders from chaperones and quick snack orders from kids. See our menu here .
Is there a space for our group to eat lunch at the festival?
Yes! We have multiple picnic tables under a pavilion for your use. We will reserve a couple of them specifically for your group's belongings then you can eat in that vicinity at lunch time.
Are there restrooms and hand washing stations at the farm?
Yes! At this time we have clean porta potties available as well as permanent and portable hand washing stations with soap.
What do we do in case of inclement weather?
We typically do not cancel field trips unless or until the weather is dangerous or results in elements that are difficult to manage (such as excessive rain or mud). We will stay in close communication when these events arise and we will make our best attempts to reschedule for a time that works for both the farm and the group, but we are unable to guarantee the success of this effort.
